about

Loraine
It was a cold winter night sometime last year (2015). We had just packed up after a showcase gig at Zaphod's in the market. The guys had all kind of dispersed and were out doing their own thing when a homeless man approached me. We talked for about twenty minutes about how he had been over in Bosnia and had watched his friends die in front of him. He was a sniper and had to stand down because he didn't get the ok to take care of the problem and save his fellow soldiers as well as innocent lives. As a result he had PTSD, insomnia, anxiety, and a whole host of other physical and mental problems. To make matters worse his government, our government, had let him down upon his return and he wasn't given the proper support necessary to recover and deal with these horrible things he had experienced while in the forces. It was terrible and tragic. I gave him the last $20 I had on me because he was so sincere and just needed a hand. Chris will explain that he wrote this song because he too saw that same man on the same night and gave him exactly $20. I guess it's because we were born on the same day.
