Into Golden Waves

This one Chris wrote about his experience in the hospital in the winter of 2015. There are some heavy themes in it that I can't really explain properly but I know the overall idea is about feeling helpless. His condition had gotten worse, a lot worse, and he was completely bed-ridden and on a lot of narcotics. I remember going in with the guys to visit him and just thinking 'man, we gotta get you out of here'. It just seemed like such a sad place to be. I could relate in some ways because I had been stuck with a medical condition that just knocked me out three times in the past few years. Those times I felt like I had nowhere to go, no one to turn to that would understand my situation and no future without disease. I saw all of these emotions and troubles and more in Chris when we went in to visit. He was in rough shape and just wanted out. Not just of the hospital but of the condition and mental place he was in. It seemed very toxic and scary. Into Golden Waves in my understanding is the longing to be back to 'normal' and to be free from the sickness that had been holding Chris down. Another song that sounds uplifting and happy but in reality is really sad and depressing. This tune comes straight from the heart, but Chris can tell you more about that.
